  • Solid-Phase Extraction (SPE) is a kind of extraction process including liquid phase and solid phase, which is widely used and popular sample pretreatment technology. It separates the target compound from the sample matrix by the force between the bonded functional group of the filler and the compound to be separated, and then elutes or heats the desorption to achieve the purpose of separating and enriching the target compound. It is based on the traditional "liquid-liquid extraction (LLE)" using the principle of similar phase solubility between substances and combined with the current widely used liquid chromatography (HPLC) and gas chromatography (GC) stationary phase basic knowledge developed.

    In the process of solid phase extraction, the attraction of the solid relative to the analyte is greater than that of the sample mother solution. When the sample passes through the SPE column, the analyte is adsorbed on the solid surface (other components pass through the SPE column with the sample mother solution). The analytes adsorbed on the solid surface are then eluted with a suitable solvent.

    SPEs are classified into four types according to the principle: reverse SPE(RP-SPE), forward SPE(NP-SPE), ion-exchange SPE(IE-SPE) and adsorption SPE(Absorpt-SPE). In most cases, solid phase extraction is used to deal with liquid samples, such as extraction, concentration and purification of volatile and semi-volatile compounds in the sample, and when used in solid samples, it is necessary to convert the solid sample into a liquid sample.

The HYGP-2223 type is a small high-sensitivity X-gamma radiation detector, which uses the latest low-power embedded microprocessor as the data processing unit, and the detector is composed of a highly sensitive scintillator and a high-range GM counter. The instrument is more sensitive to short-term pulse radiation and can detect short-term (≥ 20ms)X-pulse radiation. It has a wide range of uses, such as environmental monitoring (nuclear safety), radiation health monitoring (disease control, nuclear medicine), homeland security monitoring (entry and exit, customs), public safety monitoring (public security), nuclear power plants, laboratories and nuclear technology applications.
